How many times have you been out with your babies or toddlers and heard strangers say to you, “Enjoy it because it goes by so fast”? When you’re “in it” with young kids, it’s hard to grasp really what this means. You’re just trying to get through the day, the week or heck, even just get through the grocery store checkout line without a meltdown. I remember those days so well, and yet my youngest just turned 7. SEVEN! I really don’t know where the time went. Thankfully, I do have a ton of photos documenting those days. It’s hard to believe even now, that I’m well past the baby stage and the toddler stage. I three have full blown kids, including one teenager in the house. I can’t even….
If you’ve been hanging out with me awhile, you know that the newborn stage is my favourite. After that, I’d have to say it would be the sitter age. This is around 6-7 months when baby is sitting but not yet crawling. It’s a fun milestone but it’s also another perfect time to document with photos. Baby is generally happy, not playing strange yet and their personality shines.
Baby boy W came in recently to my Burlington studio for a sitter session and he did amazing. We captured so many adorable photos of him. His stand up hair and his scrunchy nose face were my favourite details. He was the sweetest little model baby with such a wide range of faces. I had such a blast with him.
