Hilton Head has been on our travel wish list for a long time. It’s well known for the many golf courses and boy is that correct. Looking at the GPS – all you see is green. For a moment, it made us wish we were there alone with our clubs, then we turned around to look in the backseat and quickly that feeling passed. 🙂 Hilton Head also has a lot to offer for families. I shared a lot of photos on my Instagram account and only brought out the big camera one afternoon when we visited Harbour Town and to catch the sunset on our last evening at beach.
Harbour Town was amazing. We visited there twice and I wish we had time to go back a third! We ventured up the lighthouse even though it was 8 billion degrees that day. You can see the difference in the sky between the time I took a photo from the top and at the bottom after we climbed down. It poured rain for about 10 mins straight before we went up but I love how the sky adds drama in the photo of my son with his new spyglass. Harbour Town had one of the most amazing playgrounds we’ve seen, and our family are official playground seekers. 🙂 All the kids are so easily entertained by slides, climbers and swings we love to find new and exciting places for them to play. This one was nature-inspired, built around multiple giant oak trees.
Our last sunset night on the beach delivered. Our vacation rental had this adorable wooden boat as part of it’s decor and I had brought these cute shortalls with suspenders for our youngest with plans to capture some updated photos of him. I have so many photos from that evening I’m going to have to look long and hard to choose my favourites to print for his room.
