I had a wonderful time meeting this sweet baby girl and her family for a studio newborn session last week. They came as referral from another recent and lovely family I did newborn photos for and I am so grateful because they were an easy going, fun and warm family to spend the morning with. This little miss arrived a wee bit early, as seems to be the case for most of my March newborns. 🙂 She was just too excited to wait any longer. Nora arrived at the studio wide awake and stayed that way for most of her session. I tried all my sleepy baby tricks but she was not fooled. Although Nora was awake, she was happy and content just looking around. Her eye contact was so fixed and amazing for just 6 days old. I was very impressed. She did give me a few minutes with her eyes closed near the end of the session and I worked as quickly as I could to get as many shots in before she woke up again soon after. I’m not convinced she was sleeping soundly but she had her eyes closed and that was well enough for me. She loved to be swaddled tight and her cute doll-like perfect face made for such adorable wide-awake baby photos. Big sister Olivia was super with her new sibling. She was loving and kind, and followed my gentle direction to a tee!
