Oh this sweet baby. Blogging his photos is thrilling to me because it means I get to look at his adorable and handsome face again. Baby boy G spent a bit of his session time awake so we captured a fantastic mix of photos with him alert and making cute eye contact with the camera, as well as sleeping images. He was happiest swaddled up nice and tight just like when he was in the womb a short time ago.
As in all my studio newborn sessions, we used lots of white fabrics and neutral props to keep the focus on baby G and all his newborn goodness. We captured detail images of his toes and his hands as well as his facial features. This guy was 2-weeks old at the time of his photos, so pretty traditional age for those fresh, posed images. But if you look carefully, you’ll see that many of the “poses” are similar to what I do with older newborns – maybe you had a baby within the last month or so and you’re feeling regret for not booking a newborn session. Please reach out and I’ll show you that we can get almost identical images with a baby that’s 5-7 weeks old. I LOVE older newborns too and specialize in them just the same.
This guy is a part of my Milestone Program for baby’s first year, which means I’ll see him again for a sitter session this fall and again for family photos when he is one year old next summer. I’m very much looking forward to seeing how much he’s grown and changed by the fall.
