Here is a peek into an in-home lifestyle newborn session. This sweet family invited me into their new home shortly after baby girl B arrived. This is familiar story – couples moving either right before or after they have a baby. That or doing a big renovation to their home. I’m very used to working in spaces that have not been decorated yet. In the instance of this family’s home, they had zero furnishings in the living room, so instead of avoiding the room, we embraced it because it’s part of their story. It honestly reflects their current situation. Years from now, they will look back at that photo of them sitting on the floor, on top of couch cushions, holding their tiny new bundle of joy and they will be flooded with memories of this time.
I loved the vibe, the style, the aesthetic of their home, especially the nursery, which they so proudly decorated for their daughter. The Scandinavian / Boho decor was so gorgeous and made the most perfect backdrop for some of their newborn photos. I appreciated their warm, neutral tones and modern decor. Baby girl B was a dream to photograph and by the time I left, this family felt like old friends. Thanks for trusting me with your memories, M Family.
