I have had four newborn girls in a row now in the studio. So many of my clients have opted not to find out the gender of their babies lately and I love it so much! It’s such a wonderful surprise to get the news. I couldn’t wait to meet baby Jelena! Last time I saw Tereza + Damir was for their maternity session down at the Burlington harbour. Their daughter arrived eight days early and was absolutely perfect. You can see she was born with a full head of hair, so much so that her mama brought a baby brush along to their session! Jelena has one tuft of hair at the back of her head that no matter what, sticks straight up. It is so, so cute! She made these adorable squeaky noises that had me laughing. Despite her squeaky noises, she was so happy and slept the entire session. She was such a deep sleeper! We were talking away, watching the Rio Olympics and making a regular amount of noise and away she slept through it all. Usually we do at least one break so baby can be fed and settled back to sleep, but her mama followed my session prep instructions to a tee and we made it through all the different poses with this little lady in just one set! Even at the end when Jelena finally opened her eyes, she was completely happy so I managed to take some nice photos with her bright eyes looking back at me. We used girly lace, neutrals and some pinks to compliment her nursery colours.
