Gosh I love this session and I love working with this family. They did a whole baby’s first year milestone plan with their first little guy so naturally hanging out with them feels like hanging with friends after all that time spent together. I was thrilled when they reached out and asked me to photograph baby number 2. We decided to do the session at their beautiful custom designed home in Niagara and I gushed over their home as much as I gushed over their new baby boy. We did a lifestyle newborn session, which aims to capture baby and family together in a casual, warm style. We used their master bedroom, baby’s nursery, the living room and even their kitchen because it was stunning. Then because we did a posed newborn session for their firstborn, they wanted to capture some posed photos of this baby as well. So we finished the session up capturing a huge amount of images of baby on his own. I brought some of my studio items and we had a great time getting pictures of their beautiful sleepy boy. It’s a great combination for families who want the casual, sentimental style of family images in their own home, but also want to capture the sweet, sleepy and posed images like I do in-studio.
