This session makes me smile and I hope it puts a smile on your face too. This lovely family of four had me come to their Oakville home to do a lifestyle newborn session shortly after their second son was born. Their wish list was pretty standard to what I normally capture – images of the four of them, photos with sibling and baby, mostly simple + natural photos of baby in a neutral outfit or swaddled in a blanket on the bed. Check. Check. Check. We did all that and more. When I first arrived, big brother was a bit shy and not yet willing to participate in the photos. That was perfectly fine. We focused on the images of each parent holding baby and images of baby M on his own. After that big brother had warmed up to me and the idea of sitting with his family for photos with his new baby. We ended up with a huge gallery and lots of sibling and family images. It was perfect. We used swaddles from my studio wardrobe and a cute but simple white romper with wood buttons. Everything was very neutral and matched their home decor nicely.
