It was so wonderful and refreshing to pick up my camera and head back out to capture beautiful memories like these after months of being on pause. We booked this session way back in December for early April and then the whole world fell apart. The last time I saw this family was for Ruby’s newborn photos the previous year. Even though baby girl had to wait a few months for her first birthday session, it was still amazing. She may have been a bit more mobile now vs April, but I can be pretty fast with the camera and we captured a huge gallery of candid moments to document Ruby’s big milestone. I’ve posted a few favourites.
The family used her beautiful pale pink and white nursery, the master bedroom and living room to play, read books and snuggle together. Sometimes families like to have a small cake smash during their in-home session, but this time I brought my wooden smash cake prop for a few minutes of play. These sweet sisters were adorable together. Lifestyle Family sessions are whole bunch of fun. We go with the flow and the whole time I’m there is very easy going and joyful. It’s a great option for families who want to have photos to always remember their daily life or for young families who prefer to have a daytime vs a sunset outside session.
