Meet Gabriel. The most awake, yet chill newborn I’ve had in the studio for awhile. He was such a good little peanut for his session, in and out of sleep so many times I lost count. However, when he was awake he was happy and calm so I kept shooting. He even gave some smiles for the camera. The images of his bright eyes are now some of my favourites. The connection and alertness of this 9-day old baby boy astonished me. Last time I saw this sweet couple was down at the beach for their beautiful maternity session and if you click over to read that post carefully you’ll think I made a typo…. But nope! They were expecting a daughter and were surprised with a son in the delivery room! I wish I could have been there to capture the shock and awe on their faces at that very moment. These new parents are so in love with their baby boy. It was easy to capture their love for him.
