It was a fun change to work with this family of older children. I’m primarily a newborn photographer and most of my sessions, even outdoors include babies. But when this thoughtful Dad reached out to purchase this session for his wife, I jumped at the chance. They haven’t had family photos done in YEARS so I was happy to give them a lot of updated portraits for their walls and memory boxes.
At the last minute they reached out to me to ask if they could bring their new pooch. He was an energetic one so I’m glad they were able to bring along a helper to walk their puppy and keep him busy when he wasn’t in the photos. The beach was the perfect location on this beautiful evening. The kids got to laugh and play in the water and use the tree swing. I always like to keep everyone moving and engaged in activities, no matter what the age. Let’s face it, no one wants to sit or stand still for a full hour of family portraits. That’s boring! So their images are filled with love, smiles and movement.
