When I think of my absolute favourite cities Charleston is always top of the list. Maybe it’s the cobblestones, maybe it’s the Southern charm, maybe it’s the secure and safe feeling as I walk the streets… I can guarantee it’s the friendships and memories… but this city has my heart. I adore all the bright happy colours of the homes and how the city values tradition and preservation over change and new construction. Places with history – a good story to tell – trump about everything for me.
We spent a good part of the day walking Charleston again. We revisited spots we explored last year for the first time and found some new territory as well. It helps to have local friends who are quite knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions and ponderings.
