This family was a dream to photograph. As with SO MANY of my summer families, they were booked in for newborn photos for the springtime and their session was pushed out due to the lockdown. Thankfully, I LOVE outdoor newborn sessions and they trusted me that all was going to be great. Photo sessions in July are later than any other time of year. We start around 7:30pm and usually that is past baby (or toddler’s) bedtime. I suggest pushing their nap a little later into the afternoon and bring some water and snacks for the session. Both kiddos did wonderful. There’s always a lot to see and distract them from the fact that it’s bedtime. We keep active the entire session and I’m great at going with the flow. If you have young ones, don’t be afraid of sunset sessions. If you’re still not convinced, a session in August, September or October will have earlier start times. Message me for details.
