I love to capture newborns in their first home. It’s convenient and comfortable for my families, especially those with older siblings. It’s also very meaningful because this is the setting that baby is comforted, cuddled, fed and all the other great things involved with new babies. Big sister was very excited to show me around her home and introduce me to her little sister. Two month old Sofia was so sweet and adorable. I absolutely enjoyed photographing this new family of four. Those first few months with a newborn are a bit of a blur and sometimes families aren’t able or ready to book newborn photos within the first few weeks of baby’s life. And that’s ok! As you can see, doing them a bit later is still beautiful and precious. Sofia was really alert and had great eye contact at two months old. I was able to swaddle her up for a few photos, all newborn-like. But mostly she liked having her arms and legs free to move around. She loved snuggling with her mama and big sister was so proud to hold Sofia for some sibling images.
