I am basically obsessed with neutrals in my newborn sessions. That’s pretty obvious peeking around my website. I love using lots of whites and neutrals because it keeps the focus on the sweet and perfect newborns that visit my studio. Neutrals keep images feeling classic and timeless which is one of my goals in photographing for my families. I want your images to be hung on the walls of your home and stand the test of time. Mila’s mommy specially requested a fresh white and clean session without colours so I knew we were a perfect fit. They just moved back to Ontario to a new home in Waterdown after living in the United Kingdom. So many fun changes in a short period of time. Mila is the second daughter for this sweet family and she was absolutely perfect for her session. We caught a few photos with her eyes open at the beginning. After that she had a deep nap and I was able to guide her poses all white she slept beautifully. I was easily able to capture all her newborn details like her curly toes, her eyelashes, her lips and her adorable profile because Mila was happy as can be sleeping in my warm, quiet studio. She even flashed a few smiles that I caught on camera. I always love when that happens and those images are usually favourites for mom and dad as well. Mila’s mom and I were gushing over how sweet she looked the entire time. Mila is so loved by her family and big sister was so gentle and attentive during her sibling images. I had such an incredible time documenting these moments and getting to know Mila’s mom who was easy going, fun and warm.
