Recently, I spent a lovely morning in Waterdown with this new family of three… well, family of four if you count their four legged member, which I’m sure they do! Their baby girl was due at the end of October but arrived two weeks early. Little miss Kennedy was about three weeks old when we did her session and she was absolutely perfect. This couple wanted to include their pup in some of their photos but the pup had other ideas. He wanted to be in every photo! It was quite comical to see him weasel his way in there for more than a few shots. We laughed about it quite a bit. So we’d include him and then move on to just the humans. It made for some sweet photos though. In home lifestyle newborn sessions are so great to perfectly capture real life with your new baby, photo bombing dog and all. Kennedy was awake for most of her session – looking all around at me and then at the end she passed out so sleepy and we were able to capture both awake AND sleepy shots for her gallery. My favourite mix!
I loved the decor in Kennedy’s nursery. The pink sophisticated flowers, the animal touches and the perfect balance between girly and sweet mixed with tomboy and fierce. Check out those adorable cowboy boots mom bought on vacation before she was even pregnant. It was fate. Everything about this session was cozy and relaxed. I loved getting to know this adorable couple and their baby girl. Here are some favourite images. Enjoy!
