I had the pleasure of photographing this family again! I met them when their first born came in for a sitter session and then they did an outdoor family session with me as well! I just love to see families again and again over the years. They recently welcomed a new baby girl and asked me to come to their Oakville home for a lifestyle newborn session. Baby Juni was just shy of one-month old when I visited. I adore photographing babies both in-studio and at home but I have to say, with older siblings it’s much easier to keep them in the comfort of a place they are familiar with. Big brother C rocked his photos with his new baby sister and I was so proud of him. He could come and go as he pleased and I was very excited to see that he did want to be in lots of photos with beautiful baby Juni. He’s got a smile that lights up the room. Baby Juni was awake but content while I was there and I enjoyed getting to meet their newest addition.
This was a lifestyle newborn session, meaning I go to a family’s home and bring very few things to capture natural images of baby in their home environment. I mostly use swaddles the family already has for baby but I do bring a few simple muslin wraps just in case. This type of session is very focused on the whole family getting involved and showcasing images of them loving the new baby. Every session is so unique and I love them!
