This lovely couple was gifted a baby portrait session from their family and I’m so grateful I got to meet them. They visited my Burlington studio when their daughter was 2 months old. She was such an expressive little thing. Whenever older babies, up to 3 months old come in for a session and the family has not already had newborn portraits, I love to take a few minutes to swaddle up baby for some of those “newborn like” photos. Parents always appreciate them and babies are usually pretty fine with being wrapped up cozy for a short while. We used neutral fabrics and outfits from my studio wardrobe to keep their images fresh and natural looking. I get emails all the time from parents who believe they have missed the newborn window and are very concerned. I always reassure them that babies are adorable at any age. Just take a look at some of the gorgeous photos we were able to capture of this 2 month old beauty! The interaction with older babies is my favourite. They are able to focus so well at the camera and at their parents.
