It was fabulous to see this family again this winter soon after the birth of their second daughter. They are also so warm, inviting and friendly. Big sister is so teeny tiny and their 1 month old baby was a big size already. It was a fun combination – this pint sized 2 year old holding this adorable baby that looked giant in her arms. So cute!
In baby girl’s nursery, mom made this GORGEOUS feather wall hanging and I absolutely loved it. What thoughtful and stunning custom piece. I want to make one for my own home!
Baby A was over a month old at the time of her session, but at 1-2 months of age, I really don’t do anything different than during a lifestyle newborn session for a brand new baby. It’s a very similar type of session and we get large, beautiful galleries just the same. I capture baby’s details, get swaddled and unswaddled images and with older babies you’re pretty much guaranteed to get those lovely awake shots that are always a family favourite. So for anyone who has given birth during the last few months of shutdown, please don’t think you’ve missed the window for newborn photos. It can be done! I do it all the time for various reasons.
I’m obviously really behind on blogging, but after taking a pause for over 3 months, I’m ready to get back to photographing sweet babies. There will be new policies and procedures, but many of them I’ve always done. I’m kind of a clean and germ freak to begin with.
