Taking the time to post these photos all together is very bittersweet for me. On one had, I’m so happy looking back at all the adorable images we captured of baby Z and his parents during his first year… on the other hand, he has now graduated from my Baby’s First Year sessions and I no longer get to see him every few months. This family booked into my milestone program and included newborn, sitter and first birthday into their package. We had a blast each and every session. They are very easy going, love their son to pieces and it was lovely to get to know them and gush over how cute baby Z is.
For their newborn session, we did this in-studio and baby boy was a dream. He was very sleepy, made some adorable scrunchy faces and we ended up with a huge gallery of images.
For their sitter milestone session, it was fall so we chose to do it outside in the beautiful autumn leaves. We ended up with an evening that was kind of chilly, but we layered up in clothing and baby boy was such a trooper.
Lastly, their first birthday session we did indoors at my Burlington studio again. By this time baby Z was on the move – he was fully walking and cruising around quickly. I had to work fast to capture images of him because he didn’t sit still for long but we got lots of cute pictures. When you compare these sessions just months apart you can see just how fast babies grow and change during that first year. I’ve been photographing babies for over 10 years now and it still boggles my mind how they go from a small newborn all curled up in a ball to walking around in just 12 short months.
