This session is adorable and I am so honoured to be asked to take this family’s photos again. We did an older baby session for their first daughter years back and they loved those photos so much that when they were expecting twins this winter they specifically wanted to wait and do an older newborn session.
Older newborns are great if you are looking for images where baby is alert, awake and has a bit more of a developed personality. These twin girls were just shy of 3 months old when they visited my Burlington studio. We captured a HUGE gallery of images but I’ve picked a small bunch to share on here. With twins I always end up with a big final gallery because I make a point to take lots of individual pictures of each baby and their sweet details, not just the twins together. I love doing sessions with twins. Usually one wants to sleep and one wants to be awake. Even at 3 months old, one of the twins fell asleep in my comfy studio, which is usually unheard of at this age. I grabbed some sleeping photos of her, but ultimately the parents wanted her awake, so they woke her back up, which took some effort, let me tell you…. She was so cozy and calm inside my studio. It’s the perfect napping environment.
