This maternity session was great fun. They are expecting their second baby and reached out to me for a baby’s first year milestone package just like they did for their first daughter. I was so thrilled. Photographing this family feels like hanging out with good friends. Their sweet toddler wasn’t completely into having photos taken that day, but with a bit of patience, cuddles, extra time and some crafty strategy we managed to capture quite a few adorable images of her. The ones where she is snuggling with her mama just melt my heart. They recently came in for their studio newborn session with their new baby girl and big sister rocked it. She was completely happy to be in photos with her parents and her baby sister that day and I cannot wait to finish up that gallery and send it off to them.
Studio maternity sessions are a great option for the winter months. From about November to April I shoot all my maternity session indoors whereas in the spring, summer and fall expecting moms can choose a lovely outdoor location if they wish.
